Waterlogged

Last Saturday long run before the Suntrust half marathon!  Woo Hoo!

We were set to run 8.50 miles on Saturday and as instructed I took it nice...and...slow.  I was rocking the back of the pack and even walked a bit here and there.  It's actually a bit refreshing to not be so aggressive and just do your own thing.  Don't get me wrong...it killed me to be in the back of the pack...but since my training over the last two months has not gone as well as I had hoped I'm just happy to be here.

We ran around the city and ran many of the streets of next week's race.  The bonus was that temps were in the 50's...but then again we also ran through a monsoon.  Seriously, as soon as we stepped foot out of the store the sky opened up and just dumped on us.  Very quickly we were all soaked through and through.  Once you just accept that it's gonna be a wet run and there's nothing you can do about it it some how is just fine.  The looks of folks who encountered this wave of folks running through the rain yesterday was priceless.

On to Saturday!
