It has been eight weeks to the day of my dramatic little bike wreck in Dewey Beach. It seems fitting that on Friday my orthopedic doctor announced that it's time to head to PT.
After another set of x-rays and an exam, he confirmed that the bone is growing solid and my avulsion fracture has stayed in place vs separating. In summary, my bones are strong enough that I won't do more damage to them.
It's surprising that that little chip on my shoulder, and a mushy shoulder bone can cause this much pain.
To be honest, it still hurts like nobody's business --- esp at night.
The Doc says that my arm is weak, inflexible and has some scar tissue. He's confident that getting worked over by the PT for 4 weeks should make me as good as new.
Back to normal...looking forward to that day.

If it tastes good then it's probably expense
Why can't fresh beautiful colorful produce be as cheap as a Twinkie?
This is far from a revelation or any where near original thought, but things that taste good and are healthy inevitably cost more.
That's what I'm learning again now that I'm back to preparing most of my meals these days. If it's pretty --- like the wonderful produce department at Whole Foods --- then it's gonna cost.
Just like other things in life, too bad the good things are not more affordable.

Removable Silliness
It has nothing to do with training, but it has everything to do with making my office a little less generic and as a result makes me smile. Looking at rows of frosted glass it's nice to have my penguin welcome me each morning.
Now...a splash of paint on the walls and a plant would do a world of difference but I won't push my luck with anything that permanent or would surely die an untimely death.
