After living through Hurricane Isabel and her path of destruction that caused my house to temporarily be condemned, the last thing I wanted to deal with was an earthquake --- and a 5.9 at that!
After dealing with the moment of stress associated with the quake I was later grateful that I brought the Cannondale to work and was able to knock out a 35.86 mile ride at Hains Point after work. While cars were cramming the streets trying every which way to just get home I was zooming along heading to my favorite loop. The monotony of the ride on a beautiful summer day was just what the doctor ordered.
Now...off to track the path of Hurricane Irene as she marches her way to Florida, up the Carolinas and eventually to the Eastern Shore beaches. Lovely.
