Chlorine Sunday

This morning I woke up with every intention of running, but my legs were feeling a little sore from yesterday's bike and the humidity was climbing.

Instead I decided a date with some chlorine was in order. I headed over to my old reliable Fairlands Aquatic Center. As usual I had the place basically to myself since the joint doesn't start rocking until after noon-time. The only bummer is that they set the lanes up in 25 meters to expand the number of lanes vs. Olympic. Now that is a bummer b/c (1) I hate to count laps and (2) I lose motivation when I have to do so many flip turns.

I decided to use the Snapple swim worksheet to follow one of the workouts. I decided to complete part of Endurance workout #17, which included:

*150 free warm up
*6x75 KDS with catch up drill
*1x500
*1x400
*1x300
*1x200
*1x100
*200 backstroke kick
*100 free cool down

I ended up getting too tired to complete the 2500 meter workout and made some modifications and cut the workout short after the ladder set.

It was interesting that throughout the workout I was very fixated on the comments Kevin made during my stroke analysis. His commentary was running through my head throughout the workout which was good and helpful.
