Rolling through the farms

These Sunday cycling workouts are good stuff. I hooked up with some neighbors who head out every Sunday morning for a 20-25 mile loop through the Beltsville Agricultural Farms. Here's a pix from the back half of the ride.

Overall, my goal was to push myself harder. I have a tendency to sink back into the pace of whomever is around me and if the pace is slower then at times instead of pushing harder I just get comfortable and slack off. I definitely have a touch of the lazy gene.

The good news is that folks push the pace in this group and I struggle at times to keep up. For me, that's a good thing.

I think this time was better than the last time I headed out with this group b/c I knew what to expect --- where the hills were, how many there were, etc.

I'm looking forward to more Sundays with this crew in the future.
