...and then it's the week after...

Man, it feels like the triathlon happened so long ago. I think I am finally coming down from the high of actually finishing the damn thing. I looked through the pictures, reviewed all my stats, and reviewed them again, thought about what I could have done better, thought about what I need to do better going forward and actually smiled to myself when I watched my finish-line video. Yes, that is my voice whooping and hollering.

This week I had trouble sitting still. I took a few days off from work to get some things done around the house. Though I planned to just chill out on the work-out front, I ended up doing a few things. I ---
  • swam some easy laps, did some drills and did some kick sets at my local outdoor pool. It is fantastic to swim OUTSIDE for a change.
  • did an easy bike ride around the neighborhood and lake
  • went for a very short run around the neighborhood
  • and finally, I took my bike to the shop to have her looked over.
Trouble with all this training nonsense is that it's hard to actually stop and take a break. :)
