Today was a beautiful day in Palo Alto.
Unfortunately I was trapped between the east coast and the west coast today. I ended up waking up at 5AM for a 6AM conference call and am still up now. My sleep is all out of whack...but this happens every time I work on the west coast.
I jetted out of work today and was able to get some running time in today. I ran for time vs distance --- 40 minutes.
Being unfamiliar with the area, I headed for a run around the Stanford campus. For those not familiar with the area, there is a beautiful entrance at Palm Drive that is a straight and wide palm tree-lined street. Above is a picture of Palm Drive.
It was lovely. There were runners, bikers, rollerbladers and folks on the lawn playing Frisbee and volleyball. This is like the twilight zone for an east-coaster.
Palo Alto an Menlo Park may be the best places to work --- very chill, clean and active folks. The vibe is very mellow.
