Still knocking the dust off

This morning I headed down to Hains Point to run the longer loop. Here's a pix from the bridge. I thought it would be 6 miles, but it was only 5.6 miles. Annoying...and I was running too late to make up the extra distance before wrapping up my run.

Overall, it was a good run. It started off cold and stiff, but I got into a rhythm and just kept pushing forward. I've also learned that running ipod-free is fabulous. As much as I love my tunes it feels great to free your mind and just focus on the moment.

My erratic training (aka "chill-ville") over the last two months definitely has been an obstacle, but I'm shifting to the positive and looking at it as a much needed break and a way to make me hungrier and more motivated for the upcoming spring, summer and fall races.

Bring it on bitches. I'm coming back.

Yessss! After chill-ville, eventually, you'll be itching to train hard again. At least that is what I keep telling myself. Let me know when you're really really BACK and I will try to bring it, too!
