Last night The Husband and I lucked into a set of tickets to the Wizards/Hawks game. Though I'm not a huge pro basketball fan --- b/c they just don't seem to have their hearts in the game --- I was happy to go. Bonus that the company tickets are fantastic. There are two sets. One set is right behind the Wizard bench. The other set is two rows from the court. We've sat in the primo seats in the past and they are spectacular. We sat in the other seats this time. As you can see from the pix, they are still pretty snazzy. Bonus that I ran into a handful of folks from work and from around the city. Double-bonus that our seats were better than one of the partners whose seats were 15 rows back. Hee hee.
During the game they had a 50/50 raffle. Winner got a set of tixs and (more interesting to me) half the pot --- just shy of 2k. Clearly I did NOT win, but in the 60 seconds it took for them to draw the winning tix and announce the winner I did have a flood of images race through my mind of what I would buy. I am such a loser. Bonus that I was sitting right behind where they were picking the tix and so I believe my disappointment was clearly captured.
