Today I decided to run with the Georgetown and Arlington kids on The Mall. The thought of hunting for parking in Adams Morgan had zero appeal this morning. The Mall really is the ultimate track for folks to log their miles.
We were slated to run 12 miles today. I'm glad I decided on the safer route with this crew, though it was a tough route. Having to loop the Capital twice at the end of a 12 mile run is rough. The incline kicks your ass.
I'm really having trouble this season. I'm not exactly sure what it is, but I'm feeling more beat up/banged up this season vs last season. The idea that I'm running another half marathon in less than four weeks is daunting since I don't feel as if I will improve my two prior performances. Oh well, there's always the 10-miler in April.
