As I was swimming my laps tonight I noticed that the neighboring two lanes were filled with little kids learning to dive into the pool and swim one lane of freestyle.
It was the most adorable thing to see the kids line up, crouch down, put there hands over there heads like little arrows and muster the courage to fall forward into the deep end of the pool. Watchful parents were overhead. Swim coaches were at the water's edge encouraging them to drop in.
As you can imagine, there were many belly flops. With each belly flop, the little guppies would pop up out the water, smile and then immediately start their stroke across the pool. The guppies would repeat this drill many times. Over and over again most would fail and yet come right back to the pool's edge to try again.
All I wanted to do was watch these little guppies and cheer them on. Go Guppies Go!
